2016 Swinford Agricultural Show Photography Competition
The 2016 Swinford Agricultural Show Photography Competition is upon us once again. This year marks the 28th Annual agricultural show in Swinford, which takes place next Saturday the 20th of August at Heeran’s Farm, Kiltimagh Rd Swinford. The Swinford Agricultural show will be a great photographic opportunity for Swinford Camera Club members. If any Camera Club members would be available on the day for an hour or two to take some photos for the show that would be great.
The Photography competition is once again one of the categories in the Arts and Crafts section of the show. The Photography competition is divided into two classes, “Confined Photography Classes” and “Open Photography Classes”. Camera Club members are reminded that you can only enter in the “Confined Photography Classes”.
All entries must be lodged with the Secretary Before Show Day. The Show office will be located on Market Street, Swinford (Beside Vodafone Shop) from Monday, August 15th, to Friday 19th. OFFICE OPENING HOURS: Monday 15th, Tues 16th, Wed 17th, 12pm. to 4pm., Thurs 18th, 12pm to 7p.m and Friday August 19th from 11am to 1pm. The office will not open on show day.
Photography Competition
Conditions of entry:
- Each entry must be attached to a section of cardboard, ready for display
- Normal size prints – 6×4 or 5×7, NO Enlargements
- Titles or captions on photographs are optional
- Entry fee €3 per photograph
- Prizemoney : 1st €15, 2nd €10, 3rd €7 & 4th €5

- 103. Subject of your own choice
- 104. Reflections
Open Photography Classes
(Members of camera clubs are excluded from classes 105 to 108 inclusive)
- 105. Child Portrait
- 106. Amusing shot of a person
- 107. Agricultural scene
- 108. Subject of your own choice
