Swinford 1916 Centenary Celebration

Swinford 1916 centenary celebration to mark the Centenary of the 1916 rising a weekend of activities is to be held in Swinford on the weekend of the 22nd to the 24th of April 2016. It is hoped that all the organisations and clubs in Swinford will partake in the weekend’s activities to mark the occasion.

Swinford Camera Club will take an active role in the Swinford 1916 Centenary Celebration. All club members are asked to take part in some way if possible. A timetable of events will take place over the course of the Centenary weekend. A Swinford 1916 Centenary Celebration committee member will be in contact with us over the coming days with full details of events. We would hope that Swinford Camera Club members will be available so that the whole weekends events will be covered.

All clubs and organisations in Swinford and surrounding areas are asked to participate in the weekends celebrations. The Swinford 1916 Centenary Celebration committee will be meeting next Monday night at 8.30 in the National School at Station road.
