Swinford Camera Club 2016 AGM
The Swinford Camera Club 2016 AGM was held on Wednesday the 5th of October. Chairperson Louis Mc Nulty opened the meeting welcoming everyone present. Louis welcomed all our new members present and all new members who joined Swinford camera Club in the previous year. The club membership has grown in the last 12 months since the last AGM, currently stands at 24 members. Louis gave a brief outline of the previous years activities. Tom Regan our treasurer gave a detailed report on our club finances, which thankfully are in a healthy state. Our PRO Michael Maye gave a brief report on the activity of the camera club website and social media channels and the general profile of the club in the media.
Chairperson Louis thanked the outgoing committee for their work throughout the year. Club members present were then asked to vote in a committee for the coming year. Unanimously the outgoing committee were voted in for the coming 2016/2017 season.

It was decided among club members that the annual club membership for the coming year would remain at €30. This will cover membership up until the next AGM on the 4th of October 2017. The monthly theme that we introduced last year has been very popular with members and we will continue the themes for the coming year. The theme for October is “Autumn”. Members are reminded that all the monthly themes, and all club meeting dates for the year can be found in the Calendar page here on the site.
We also intend to continue camera workshops and tutorials for members throughout the coming year. At the next meeting on the 19th of October, we will do a tutorial on Aperture (members reminded to bring your cameras).
