At the last club meeting on the 4th December Patrick showed photos which he took of the dog show at the annual Agricultural show which was held in Swinford last August.
Ruth and Martin showed the club how to make Christmas cards and yearly calendars by printing and using your own photos. The calendar and cards looked professionally printed and would make a great Christmas gift for a family member or friend. They really add a personal touch.
Tom showed some photos that he took on a recent trip to London. He also tested out the new compact Cannon powershoot digital camera and put it through its paces! He took photos of all the Christmas displays in the shopfronts all along Oxford Street and Regent Street. In comparison to the DSLR, the compact camera performed pretty good.
Patrick also brought in a framed canvas print of two ladies which we believe is nearly 100 years old! Louis showed us how to photograph the framed canvas without taking it out of the frame. He then showed us how the digital photo can now be restored in photoshop.
