The ISS flyover will be visible under clear skies in Ireland during the month of December 2015. A brilliant star like object will blaze across Irish skies tonight at 6:34pm chased by another bright object for just 1 or 2 minutes. The objects are the 100 billion euro International Space Station (ISS) with 6 astronauts on board, and a re-supply spaceship called Cygnus.
The objects should be visible in the skies over Ireland as broken cloud cover is forecast for the time of the flyover. The International Space Station will be blazing across the sky for the next few weeks (Dec 7 – Dec 27) with 6 astronauts on board. The times and direction to see ISS are posted in the chart below.
Sighting Locations

The following CYGNUS sightings are possible from Monday Dec 7, 2015 through Wednesday Dec 9, 2015

Here is some video that I got of the last ISS flyover in Ireland on the 10th of June last at 11.06pm. This flyover lasted about 4 minutes but I only got about 3 minutes of footage. The camera was struggling with focusing on the ISS. If we are lucky to to have clear skies this evening and tomorrow evening, we will see the Cygnus cargo delivery spacecraft trailing behind the ISS trying to catch up to it!
